Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
Typically 3–7 years of relevant electrical engineering/construction experience, preferably within power, substations, EPC, transmission, distribution, or infrastructure projects.
Good knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, installation practices, testing, and commissioning.
Exposure to transformers, switchgear, GIS/AIS equipment, circuit breakers, CTs, PTs/CVTs, isolators, busbars, and electrical panels.
Ability to read and interpret single-line diagrams, schematic diagrams, wiring diagrams, cable schedules, layouts, and technical specifications.
Knowledge of cable installation, termination, earthing, lightning protection, and auxiliary power systems.
Basic understanding of protection and control, metering, SCADA, automation, and communication systems.
Knowledge of electrical testing and commissioning procedures.
Familiarity with IEC standards, UAE electrical regulations, utility requirements, and project specifications.
Experience coordinating with consultants, clients, subcontractors, vendors, and multidisciplinary project teams.
Understanding of QA/QC procedures, inspection requirements, method statements, and ITPs.
Good knowledge of electrical safety, LOTO, permit-to-work, and safe working practices.
Proficiency in MS Office and relevant engineering/project documentation tools.
Strong communication, coordination, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work on site and manage multiple activities within project timelines.
UAE/GCC project experience is preferred.
Preferred Experience
Experience in HV/EHV substations, transmission and distribution projects, utility infrastructure, or major EPC projects.
Exposure to GIS/AIS substations, transformers, protection and control systems, SCADA, and substation automation.
Experience in electrical testing and commissioning will be an advantage.
Familiarity with DEWA, TAQA/TRANSCO, or other UAE utility/client requirements.
Experience working with major EPC contractors, engineering consultants, and utility clients.
Relevant electrical engineering certification or professional membership will be an advantage.
