✨ AI Summary
The Network Operations Center Engineer - L1/L2 role involves continuously monitoring enterprise network health, device performance, and link stability using centralized monitoring platforms to detect and resolve anomalies before they cause downtime. The engineer will navigate the Cisco Command Line Interface (CLI) via secure SSH to perform rapid Layer 1–3 troubleshooting, utilize standard diagnostic commands, and manage incident tickets within enterprise ITSM platforms. They will execute governed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to resolve common network faults, escalate complex issues to L3/L4 engineering teams, and collaborate with internal and external teams during critical outages. The role also requires enforcing operational security protocols and maintaining confidentiality regarding network topology and incident data. Key requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related technical discipline, with 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in a NOC, SOC, or IT Command Center environment. An active CCNA certification is strictly required. A solid understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, basic routing protocols, Subnetting, and access control concepts is essential, along with demonstrable experience with enterprise ticketing systems and network monitoring software. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, the ability to remain calm and analytical during high-pressure incidents, and willingness to work rotating shift schedules are also necessary.
