SUMMARYThe Supplier Industrialization Quality Engineer plays a key role in strengthening supplier performance by enhancing manufacturing efficiency, ensuring product quality, and reducing overall costs. This position works closely with suppliers to validate process capability, secure capacity readiness, support new product introductions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. The role ensures that supplier operations consistently meet company standards for quality, reliability, and operational excellence.JOB RESPONSIBILITIESEvaluate new and existing supplier quality systems and process capabilities in line with TKEC Supplier Assessment Policy. Conduct annual supplier audits, product audits, and VDA 6.3 process audits to ensure compliance with the Supplier Quality Manual and achievement of quality, cost, and delivery targets.Perform manufacturing process audits, time studies, and line‑balancing analyses at supplier facilities to assess operational effectiveness.Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and risks within supplier processes and implement corrective actions to restore stability and improve performance.Support suppliers in establishing stable and capable manufacturing processes by monitoring CP/CPK, cycle time, yield, and other critical process indicators.Review supplier performance regularly and prepare detailed reports covering key quality metrics such as Field Escapes PPM, Critical Parts Reliability, Problems Per Job, and CAPA closure rates; drive corrective actions to close performance gaps.Validate supplier capacity, layout, manpower, and equipment readiness for both new and existing products.Lead cross‑functional teams in resolving supplier quality issues, ensuring timely root‑cause analysis, corrective actions, and effective long‑term solutions.Review and approve critical supplier documentation including process flows, work instructions, PFMEAs, and control plans.Support production ramp‑up, volume increases, and localization initiatives to ensure smooth and stable manufacturing transitions.Ensure supplier readiness for new product introductions and engineering changes, working closely with cross‑functional teams.Participate in and execute APQP, PPAP, and First Article Inspection activities to ensure successful industrialization and compliance with customer and internal standards.Ensure that all industrialization milestones and deliverables are achieved according to the Standard Product Development Process (SPDP).Collaborate effectively with Supplier Quality, Purchasing, R&D, Manufacturing, and Logistics teams to support alignment and issue resolution.Provide technical guidance and training to suppliers on topics such as Manufacturing Process Control, Variation Reduction, Control Plan Development, Mistake Proofing, 6S, Lean Production, and other TKE‑sponsored supplier improvement programs.Follow all safety policies, procedures, and work instructions as defined in the Safety Management System and uphold responsibilities outlined in the Safety ManualREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSFour-year college or university degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Production, Automotive, or Electrical preferred).ExperienceMinimum 7 years of experience in manufacturing or supplier engineering within Automobile, Industrial, Consumer, or Electronics manufacturing environments (Elevator manufacturing preferred).Hands‑on experience working directly with suppliers on industrialization and quality improvement initiatives.Familiarity with Supplier Quality Management processes.Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.Project management experience is an added advantage.Knowledge/skills:Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies.Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, and Control Plan development.Ability to perform time studies, line balancing, and capacity analysis.Quality tools expertise: 8D, variation reduction, mistake-proofing, geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T).Proficiency in common office software tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).Understanding of a wide range of manufacturing processes used in production.
