This role focuses on planning and overseeing indirect tax engagements, delivering technical expertise, providing leadership, and ensuring compliance on complex tax matters.Duties and ResponsibilitiesRespond promptly and effectively to indirect tax inquiries from colleagues within KPMG and from clients, ensuring clarity and compliance with regulations.Manage and lead indirect tax engagements, encompassing domestic and international transactions, mergers and acquisitions, indirect tax compliance, and audit defense strategies.Review and refine the work of junior team members, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and excellence in delivery.Draft technical positions and ruling requests for intricate indirect tax matters, demonstrating a deep understanding of tax legislation.Prepare notices of objection for dispute resolution and voluntary disclosures to rectify issues of non-compliance.Conduct thorough technical analyses, documenting findings comprehensively to meet compliance standards.Identify and disclose liabilities or compliance issues, proactively addressing areas of concern.Handle occasional compliance tasks, contributing to overall team success.Collaborate with diverse clients, ranging from small, private enterprises to large, public organizations, tailoring solutions to meet their unique needs.Partner with colleagues to engage new clients and expand the firm's indirect tax portfolio.Develop and deliver informative presentations and training sessions on indirect tax matters to internal and external stakeholders.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or any related field.Minimum of 4–7 years of dedicated experience in Indirect Tax.Bilingual proficiency (Arabic and English) is required to ensure seamless communication and engagement.What We OfferKPMG supports equal opportunities for all prospective candidates.
