OverviewWe are seeking a qualified and proactive QC and Food Safety coordinator to ensure compliance with quality food safety standards and procedures across production and storage areas. The role focuses on maintaining product quality and safety, supporting audits, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.ResponsibilitiesCarry out and record chemical and physical, microbiological laboratory testing of products both work in progress and finish products by following the correct methods of analysis and SOPs.Chemical and physical, microbiological testing for all the raw and packaging materials to be released.Responsible for the waste water analysis .Implementing the hold and release procedure.Perform and record internal calibration check of the lab equipment and instruments as per the required intervals.Sending daily, weekly and monthly reports showing the Weak Link performance Participate in investigations into product issues, customer complaints.Following and ensuring Global PepsiCo Standards GEHSMS compliance.Escalate problems to the attention of Lab supervisor, in addition to providing advice on quality issues.Perform sanitation and hygiene test procedures to ensure compliance to PI standards and local authority standards.Communication of any OOS result to the top management and implement the corrective actions.Comply with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) within the lab and follow all the Lab documented procedures and instructions regarding HACCP, ISO, Hygiene, and EHS.Achieve the best quality of the product over our competitors regarding FLC (Frito-Lay Challenge).Keep the consistency of being (pass) in all regional proficiency tests.Ensure producing safe products and applying key food safety attributes in his/her area of concern.Carry out any other tasks relevant to the department as requested by department managers or other related departments e.g. R&D.Conduct food safety inspections on a routine and regular basisEnsure retained/shelf-life samples are stored effectively for traceability and testing as required.Perform and report Trade & retail audits for All DCsQualificationsUniversity Degree in Quality, Chemistry, Food Science or Agriculture, Science.1 -2-year experience in FMCG.
