Active membership in a recognized chartered institution is mandatory. Must have proven experience in planning and scheduling major construction or infrastructure projects, proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project, and strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and resource planning.
Description
Lead the planning, scheduling, and progress monitoring of large-scale construction and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project controls, advanced planning tools, and construction methodologiesDuties And ResponsibilitiesDevelop, monitor, and update project schedules using industry-standard planning software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project)Lead the planning and scheduling efforts from project initiation through to completionAnalyze project performance, identify risks and delays, and propose corrective actionsPrepare and maintain detailed baseline schedules and periodic updatesIntegrate cost and schedule data to support Earned Value Management (EVM)Participate in project meetings and provide input on schedule impacts and recovery plansCoordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and management teams to ensure alignment of schedulesDevelop resource-loaded schedules and monitor productivity and resource utilizationGenerate progress reports, dashboards, and presentations for internal and external stakeholdersEnsure all planning and scheduling work complies with organizational and contractual standardsQualifications, Knowledge & SkillsBachelor's Degree (BSc) in Engineering or a related field from a recognized university, with over 15 years of relevant experienceMaster's Degree (MSc) in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field from a recognized university, with over 12 years of relevant experienceActive membership in a recognized chartered institution (e.g., PMI, AACE, CIOB, ICE, or equivalent) is requiredProven experience in planning and scheduling of major construction or infrastructure projectsProficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and other planning toolsStrong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and resource planningFamiliarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) and performance measurement techniquesExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skillsStrong communication and stakeholder engagement skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlinesExperience in preparing claims/delay analysis is an advantage
