Key responsibilities Plans the curriculum for the year for the respective grade in line with the British curriculum framework. Develops lesson plans in accordance with curriculum guidelines and submits them to the academic coordinators for review and approval. Reviews feedback from academic coordinators and adjusts lesson plans and teaching strategies accordingly. Keeps up to date with current teaching practices, learning technologies, and educational resources, integrating these into classroom teaching where appropriate. Creates engaging and challenging learning opportunities that support student progress and foster a positive learning environment. Develops worksheets, classroom resources, assessments, and other learning materials aligned with curriculum objectives. Responsible for the timely marking and correction of assignments and assessments completed by students. Assesses, records, and reports on the development, progress, attainment, and behaviour of students in line with school policies. Identifies students who may require additional academic or pastoral support and ensures appropriate intervention when necessary. Contributes to extra-curricular activities and participates in school events, assemblies, meetings, and professional development sessions. Ensures the safety, wellbeing, and safeguarding of students at all times. Collaborates with colleagues to share best practices, teaching approaches, and professional knowledge. Communicates effectively with parents and guardians during Parent Teacher Meetings and whenever required. Qualifications and experience Bachelor’s degree in Primary Education or a related field. PGCE / PGDE with QTS or equivalent UK-recognised teaching qualification. Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in a British curriculum school. Proven experience teaching within the primary phase. Strong understanding of the UK primary curriculum and assessment practices. A proven track record of delivering high-quality teaching and learning. Native-level English proficiency with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
