General Job InformationJob Title: Control Specialist / SCADA OperatorDepartment: Electrical Engineering DepartmentReporting to: Electrical Maintenance ManagerLocation: Alexandria Plant for Vegetable Oil Extraction (Burj Al-Arab, Alexandria)Employment Type: Full-time???? Job PurposeTo operate and monitor industrial processes and production lines using Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and SCADA systems. The role involves monitoring electrical loads and equipment status to ensure safe and efficient production, responding quickly to alarms, reporting malfunctions, and strictly adhering to occupational safety, health, environment, and food safety standards.????️ Duties and Responsibilities1. Process Monitoring & Operation (SCADA):Operate and monitor industrial processes via the SCADA system and track equipment status during operations.Execute machine start-up and shutdown procedures according to approved standard operating procedures (SOPs).Coordinate closely with production departments regarding machine start-up and shutdown schedules.Monitor all operational parameters and readings (e.g., temperatures, pressure, levels, flow rates, and electrical current of machines).Analyze operational data continuously to detect any abnormal deviations in the production process.2. Troubleshooting & Emergency Response:Respond immediately to alarms and system faults according to safety and operational guidelines to ensure production continuity.Provide immediate preliminary reporting of equipment malfunctions to the maintenance department to prevent severe damage or downtime.Document and log all operational data, production volumes, and equipment faults in the designated software and registers.Strict Rule: Never bypass any interlock or protection system without a formal permit from the authorized supervisor.3. Quality, Safety, & Environment:Fully comply with food safety, occupational safety and health (OSH), environmental, and energy management programs.Immediately report any issue or deviation affecting food safety to the Food Safety Team Leader.Maintain cleanliness within the control department and follow up on pest control activities in the workspace.???? Job Requirements & QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems (IS), Diploma in Computer Science, or an equivalent relevant degree.Age Range: 24 – 26 years old.Experience: 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in industrial control systems (Fresh graduates or mid-level profiles with strong potential are welcome).Location: Prefers residents of Alexandria, Burj Al-Arab, or surrounding areas.????
