Job description / Role Job Type Full Time Job Location UAE Nationality Any Nationality Salary Not Specified Gender Not Specified Arabic Fluency Not Specified Job Function General Management Company Industry Oil & Gas / Energy Job purpose Execute the provision of operations support programs activities, including verifying the correct implementation of the operations programs in order to assure the Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation (FANR) on Nawah's compliance with the agreed upon licensing commitments. Collect the technical information requirements from other departments internally and externally in support of operations of the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant (BNPP). Key activities, responsibility & accountability Activity: Operations Programs Responsibilities and accountabilities: Develop and draft the operating license documents to align with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Collate and evaluate data to support technical reviews being conducted on plant operation (design specification, license document, guidelines, procedures, test result etc.) to ensure compliance with procedures, regulations, and industry leading practices. Provide operations support for Plant Information (PI) System to enhance safety and efficiency of plant operations. Update and maintain the Electronic Shift Operations Management System (eSOMS) to ensure maximum, efficient utilization of the software across the enterprise (Central Operations Programs). Ensure the operations programs are updated in alignment with the updated versions of the Final Safety Analysis Report (FSAR). Contribute to preparing for World Association for Nuclear Operators (WANO) and International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) pre-start up peer reviews to ensure smooth and efficient reviews. Operations Training Responsibilities and accountabilities: Conduct the technical review of plant operation (design specification, license document, guidelines, procedures, test result etc.). Provide input into development of operating license documents to ensure they are aligned with regulatory requirements. Provide input to the set up for the Main Control Room operating environment to create a safe and efficient workspace. Support the development of Start-up field requests to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operation. Provide input to the fundamental documents for operation (including Handbook for Operators) to ensure proper guidance is provided to staff. Perform technical administrative activities as assigned by Heads of Operations and Operations Support to enable continuous operations. Training and Qualification Responsibilities and accountabilities: Provide input for a qualification matrix for plant personnel to ensure proper criteria is met by staff. Provide input to operations training programs to ensure they provide the necessary technical knowledge and skills to equip staff with resources for success. Provide continuous improvement training feedback on program effectiveness to enhance quality of training. Comply with identified initial and continuing training to maintain the required knowledge level, skills, and proficiency for the Operations Support function. Budget Responsibilities and accountabilities: Provide input to the section/department budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget to ensure alignment. Outage and Emergency Response Organization (ERO) Support Responsibilities and accountabilities: Support outage and/or the emergency response organization, as assigned, to ensure safe, reliable and continued operations; this may require shift work/off hours support. Health and Safety, Security, and Business Continuity Responsibilities and accountabilities: Follow all relevant company's health and safety policies, processes, procedures and instructions to ensure compliance in all aspects of work as per sound management practices. Apply these policies and procedures to self and others to ensure reasonable care of the health and safety of the employee; the environment; and various individuals who may be affected by the employee's acts or omissions at work. Follow all relevant security policies, processes, procedures and instructions to ensure security compliance in all aspects of work, by applying them on self, others and corporate assets. Follow all relevant business continuity and resilience requirements for compliance with, and adherence to, policies, procedures and instructions related to the effective planning for, and response to, incidents or business disruptions in order to continue critical business processes and activities with minimal adverse impact. The incumbent is expected to perform standard activities as per attachments 4 & 5 in the Job Description procedure (relating to Health, Safety and Environment, Security and Business Continuity, People Management, Excellence and Quality Management). Professional certifications Minimum Licensed SRO Certification or equivalent. Qualifications Minimum Bachelor of Science degree. 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent as stated in the Job Description Procedure (HR-PRC-0004). 5 years of nuclear power plant experience.
