Requirements

Familiarity with monitoring tools and ticketing systems (ServiceNow/Remedy) is essential for network monitoring, event management, incident logging, and first-level troubleshooting of VSAT network issues. The candidate must be able to escalate unresolved incidents and provide communication and coordination for critical incidents while ensuring SLA and process compliance.

Network Monitoring & Event ManagementMonitor VSAT network using NMS/EMS tools (Hub systems, VSAT controllers, monitoring platforms)Track alarms related to: VSAT terminal downLink degradation (low SNR, high BER)Hub/remote connectivity issuesPower and equipment alarmsClassify alerts based on priority (P1/P2/P3)2. Incident ManagementLog incidents in tools such as ServiceNow / RemedyCapture: Site details and locationService impactSeverity and device informationEnsure timely acknowledgment and updates3. First-Level TroubleshootingPerform basic diagnostics: Check VSAT terminal status (online/offline)Verify signal strength (SNR levels)Identify link quality issues (BER, packet drops)Validate modem/IDU/ODU statusIdentify whether issue is: Site-related (power, alignment)Network/hub issueEnvironmental impact (weather fade)4.
