Key responsibilities
Lead and manage all static equipment engineering activities during FEED, EPC, and detailed engineering phases of the project.
Provide technical leadership for the design, specification, and procurement of static equipment, including pressure vessels, columns, heat exchangers, tanks, separators, filters, reactors, and package equipment.
Develop and review equipment datasheets, specifications, material requisitions, technical bid evaluations, and vendor documentation.
Ensure compliance with ADNOC standards, project specifications, and applicable international codes and standards such as ASME, API, TEMA, and ASTM.
Coordinate with Process, Piping, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Procurement disciplines to ensure effective integration of static equipment requirements.
Review and approve vendor drawings, calculations, manufacturing procedures, and inspection requirements.
Support constructability reviews, value engineering studies, and cost optimization initiatives throughout the project lifecycle.
Participate in design reviews, HAZOP, constructability workshops, and technical meetings with clients, vendors, and contractors.
Monitor engineering progress and ensure deliverables are completed in accordance with project schedules, quality standards, and HSE requirements.
Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and supervision to a team of Specialists, Senior Engineers, and Engineers.
Interface effectively with clients, licensors, suppliers, and project stakeholders to resolve technical issues and support successful project execution.
Minimum requirements
A bachelor's degree in relevant engineering discipline or equivalent from an accredited university, with a minimum of fifteen (15+) years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry, including a minimum of five (5) years (preferred) in the GCC region.
Must have at least five (5) years of experience in a similar position on major Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects, managing a team of Specialists, Senior Engineers, and Engineers.
ADNOC & Offshore project experience is preferred.
PMC experiences are preferable.
Experience in FEED & EPC phases is required.
Strong knowledge of international standards and codes including ASME Section VIII, API 650, API 620, API 661, API 660, TEMA, and NACE requirements.
Experience in technical bid evaluations, vendor management, and fabrication oversight for static equipment.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary and multicultural project environments.
