Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and compassionate Consultant Pediatric Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) Physician to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will specialize in diagnosing, treating, and managing infants, children, and adolescents with physical disabilities, developmental delays, neuromuscular disorders, and rehabilitation needs. The role focuses on improving functional independence, mobility, and quality of life through comprehensive rehabilitation care plans.Key ResponsibilitiesEvaluate, diagnose, and manage pediatric patients with congenital, developmental, neurological, musculoskeletal, and acquired disabilities.Develop individualized rehabilitation treatment plans tailored to each patient's functional goals and medical needs.Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary rehabilitation programs involving physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, psychologists, and other specialists.Manage conditions including cerebral palsy, spina bifida, muscular dystrophy, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, autism-related motor disorders, and developmental delays.Perform and supervise rehabilitation procedures including spasticity management, botulinum toxin injections, orthotic recommendations, and mobility assessments.Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans to optimize rehabilitation outcomes.Provide family counseling, education, and long-term care guidance.Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with DOH regulations, clinical governance standards, and evidence-based practices.Participate in departmental quality initiatives, clinical audits, and continuous medical education activities.Qualifications & RequirementsMedical Degree (MBBS/MD or equivalent) from a recognized institution.Board Certification / Completion of recognized residency and fellowship in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation with subspecialty expertise in Pediatric Rehabilitation.DOH Abu Dhabi License or eligibility as Consultant PM&R is mandatory.Minimum 5–7 years of post-board experience in pediatric rehabilitation and PM&R practice.Expertise in pediatric neurorehabilitation, musculoskeletal rehabilitation, and multidisciplinary rehabilitation management.Strong leadership, communication, and patient/family counseling skills.Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.Preferred SkillsExperience in advanced rehabilitation technologies and assistive devices.Training in pediatric spasticity management and ultrasound-guided procedures.Experience working within internationally accredited healthcare facilities.Ability to work effectively in a multicultural clinical environment.BenefitsCompetitive tax-free salary packageHealth insuranceAnnual leave and air ticket allowanceCME and professional development supportSupportive multidisciplinary work environmentOpportunities for career growth and advancement
