The ICT & Procurement Associate may supervise and/or lead the support staff if/when delegated by supervisor.The ICT Associate promotes a client-oriented approach particularly in the service of UN Common system partners and agencies. The ICT Associate works in close collaboration with Programme, Operations and projects teams in the CO, UNDP HQ staff, Regional Information Officer (RIO), and the Regional Bureau Information Manager (RBIM) to resolve complex ICT/Procurement related issues.UNDP adopts a portfolio approach to accommodate changing business needs and leverage linkages across interventions to achieve its strategic goals. Therefore, UNDP personnel are expected to work across units, functions, teams, and projects in multidisciplinary teams in order to enhance and enable horizontal collaboration.Duties And Responsibilities Ensure implementation of ICT strategies and introduction/implementation of new technologies:Ensure compliance with corporate information management and technology standards, guidelines, and procedures for the CO technology environment.Participate in development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures in ICT services. Conduct market research and analysis and provide support in introducing new technology for CO system updating and improvement.Provide advice on and assistance in procurement of new ICT equipment for the CO and projects; and provide technical specifications and information on best options in both local and international markets. Review quotations and bids. Participate in development and implementation of ICT annual plan. Maintain the measures in place for business continuity and disaster recovery processes and procedures. Provide support for the use of ERP functionality for improved business results and improved client services.Provide ICT support for key events. Ensure effective functioning of the CO hardware and software packages and efficient management support of shared ICT infrastructure and common services:Monitor shared network environments and cloud-based resources daily to ensure stable connectivity for all resident UN Agencies.Deploy countermeasures and cybersecurity protocols to protect the data resources of the CO and partner agencies from malicious attacks. Ensure UNDP desktop and network resources are protected from malicious virus attacks and deploy countermeasures in the event of attacks.Maintain an up-to-date inventory of shared ICT assets, managing their lifecycle from procurement to sustainable disposal/recycling.Support effective functioning (installation, operation, and maintenance) of all UNDP hardware equipment and acquisition of hardware supplies.Perform specific technical functions, including changing of hardware electronic components (disks, memories, network wiring, power sources, etc.) and making routine repairs.Maintain an up-to-date inventory and stock of supplies and spare parts in cooperation with the Administration and Procurement Teams. Manage ICT contracts and vendor performance for integrated service delivery:Oversee technical performance against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for ICT-related Long-Term Agreements (LTAs) used by the CO and UN partners.Respond to complex technical issues and service interruptions by serving as the primary liaison between the UN and technology service providers.Ensure full compliance with software licensing, hardware warranties, and service-level agreements (SLAs) throughout the contract lifecycle.
