The successful candidate will provide comprehensive trauma and emergency surgical care for critically injured patients, managing complex cases in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the highest standards of patient care. Key responsibilities Assess, stabilize, and manage patients with major traumatic injuries requiring emergency surgical intervention. Perform complex trauma surgeries, including damage control surgery, emergency laparotomies, thoracic trauma procedures, and soft tissue reconstruction where indicated. Lead trauma resuscitation and coordinate multidisciplinary trauma team responses. Provide surgical management for blunt and penetrating trauma involving the chest, abdomen, pelvis, and extremities. Collaborate closely with emergency medicine physicians, orthopedic surgeons, neurosurgeons, vascular surgeons, anesthesiologists, intensivists, radiologists, and rehabilitation specialists. Participate in trauma call rotations and provide 24/7 emergency trauma coverage as required. Supervise pre-operative, intra-operative, post-operative, and critical care management of trauma patients. Participate in trauma quality improvement programs, morbidity and mortality meetings, and trauma registry initiatives. Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with hospital policies, patient safety standards, and international trauma care guidelines. Mentor junior physicians, residents, and medical students while supporting research and continuing medical education activities. Requirements Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent).
