Wood is recruiting for a Senior Project Engineer to join its UAE business unit focusing on leading the development and delivery of Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) packages for infrastructure facilities.
This role is a full-time on-site role in Dubai, UAE with travel requirements.

Job objectives
Lead the development and delivery of Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) packages for infrastructure facilities associated with major projects, including logistics bases, fuel storage facilities, roads, utilities, and supporting infrastructure.
The role is responsible for coordinating multidisciplinary engineering activities, ensuring technical excellence, schedule compliance, and successful integration of all engineering disciplines throughout the FEED phase. The position will take overall ownership of infrastructure FEED development and will be supported by discipline engineers.
Key responsibilities
FEED development & technical leadership
Lead the preparation and execution of FEED studies for infrastructure facilities, including:
Logistics bases
Fuel storage and distribution systems
Roads and transportation networks
Utilities and support facilities
Site development and associated infrastructure
Develop basis of design, design philosophies, project specifications, and engineering deliverables
Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering inputs to ensure alignment of design objectives and project requirements
Manage interfaces between civil, structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, and other engineering disciplines
Ensure engineering solutions are technically sound, practical, cost-effective, and compliant with applicable standards and project requirements
Review, coordinate, and approve engineering deliverables generated by discipline engineers
Project engineering & coordination
Act as the focal point for all infrastructure FEED activities
Coordinate engineering activities across multiple disciplines and execution centers where applicable
Develop and manage engineering schedules, monitor progress, and drive timely delivery of FEED deliverables
Identify technical risks, constraints, and opportunities and develop mitigation plans
Support project execution planning and contribute to engineering strategies for project development
Stakeholder management
Serve as the primary engineering interface with external stakeholders and contractors for infrastructure-related FEED activities
Lead technical meetings, workshops, design reviews, and coordination sessions
Present engineering solutions and recommendations to project management and clients
Manage technical queries and ensure timely resolution of issues
Quality, HSE & assurance
Ensure all FEED activities comply with company procedures, industry standards, and project specifications
Integrate health, safety, environment, and security (HSES) requirements into engineering designs
Support design assurance and quality reviews of all infrastructure deliverables
Ensure deliverables are issued accurately and within agreed schedules
Change & risk management
Identify scope changes and assess their impact on cost, schedule, and technical requirements
Support implementation of approved changes through established management of change processes
Monitor engineering risks and ensure mitigation measures are incorporated into project planning

Expected
