Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master’s degree is an advantage.10+ years of progressive experience in the luxury or 5-star hospitality industry.Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a Hotel General Manager or equivalent senior leadership position.Proven experience managing full-service, luxury, or upscale hotels with multiple operational departments.Strong track record in P&L management, budgeting, forecasting, revenue growth, and profitability improvement.Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, GOP, guest satisfaction, and other key hotel KPIs.Strong knowledge of Rooms Division, Food & Beverage, Sales & Marketing, Finance, HR, Engineering, and Quality Management.Proven leadership skills with the ability to build, develop, and retain high-performing management teams.Strong commercial acumen and understanding of hotel sales, revenue management, distribution channels, and market positioning.Excellent knowledge of luxury service standards, brand standards, SOPs, and quality assurance programs.Experience dealing with hotel owners, investors, corporate clients, key stakeholders, and government authorities.Strong negotiation, decision-making, problem-solving, and crisis-management skills.Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation, and relationship-management skills.Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, fast-paced, and multicultural environment.Strong knowledge of hotel technology, including PMS, RMS, CRM, POS, financial systems, and business intelligence tools.Fluency in English; Arabic is highly preferred for roles in Saudi Arabia.Strong understanding of Saudi hospitality regulations and market dynamics is an advantage.Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and during operational emergencies.Strong commitment to guest satisfaction, service excellence, employee engagement, and continuous improvement.

The General Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, and operational performance of the hotel, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, strong financial results, and compliance with luxury hospitality standards. The role requires a commercially driven and hands-on leader capable of managing all hotel departments while maximizing profitability, service quality, employee engagement, and owner satisfaction.Key Responsibilities:Lead and oversee all hotel operations, including Rooms, Food & Beverage, Sales & Marketing, Finance, HR, Engineering, Housekeeping, and Guest Services.Develop and execute the hotel’s annual business plan, operational strategy, budgets, and financial objectives.Take full responsibility for the hotel’s P&L, revenue performance, profitability, cost control, and financial targets.Drive RevPAR, ADR, occupancy, GOP, and overall commercial performance through effective revenue and sales strategies.Ensure the highest standards of guest service, luxury hospitality, and customer satisfaction are consistently maintained.Establish and monitor departmental KPIs, operational targets, and performance improvement plans.Maintain compliance with brand standards, company policies, local regulations, health and safety requirements, and quality assurance standards.Build, lead, coach, and motivate a high-performing management team and hotel workforce.Oversee recruitment, succession planning, training, employee engagement, and talent development.Develop strong relationships with hotel owners, investors, corporate partners, key clients, government authorities, and other stakeholders.Lead sales, marketing, public relations, and business development initiatives to strengthen the hotel’s market position and brand reputation.Monitor market trends, competitor performance, customer preferences, and business opportunities to identify areas for growth.Manage VIP guests, key accounts, major events, and high-profile business relationships.Ensure effective cost management, procurement practices, inventory control, and operational efficiency.Address guest complaints and operational challenges promptly while ensuring appropriate corrective and preventive actions.Drive continuous improvement, innovation, digital transformation, and sustainability initiatives across the hotel.Represent the hotel at industry events, business meetings, and corporate or community engagements.Lead hotel pre-opening, renovation, repositioning, or major operational transformation projects when required.Prepare and present regular operational, financial, and performance reports to ownership and senior management.
