Bachelor's degree with 6 to 8 years of experience. Must be certified in OSHA or an equivalent recognized health & safety certification. Requires knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, risk assessment, and hazard control.
Description
Key Accountabilities:-• Develop, implement, and monitor health, safety, fire prevention, and civil defense plans. • Conduct risk assessments and implement measures to prevent hazards across the hospital. • Manage the disposal of general, medical, and hazardous waste in collaboration with Infection Control. • Conduct regular site inspections, document violations, and ensure timely corrective actions. • Participate in planning and monitoring new or renovated hospital facilities to ensure safety compliance. • Oversee the performance and effectiveness of safety systems, including fire alarms and emergency equipment. • Lead and mentor the Health & Safety team, monitoring performance and providing guidance to eliminate risks. • Collaborate with all hospital departments to promote a culture of safety and minimize operational risks. • Develop and supervise the execution of health and safety training programs for staff awareness of policies and procedures. • Work with internal teams to implement corrective plans following incident investigations or audit findings.• Ensure a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff always. • Coordinate with government authorities to meet regulatory reporting requirements and respond to safety-related requests. • Communicate safety policies and improvements to hospital stakeholders to enhance trust and satisfaction. • Ensure compliance with local and national health, safety, fire, and environmental regulations. • Monitor and manage incident and injury records and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. • Ensure all documentation, reports, and statistics required by government authorities are completed, reviewed, and submitted on time. • Identify areas for improvement in safety systems, processes, and culture and implement initiatives to reduce risks. • Maintain effective civil defense and fire alarm systems, always ensuring readiness and operational integrity.Requirements:-• Bachelor's degree. • 6 to 8 years of experience. • Certified in OSHA or equivalent recognized health & safety certification• Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, risk assessment, and hazard control.
