Requirements
Requires a JD/LLB (or equivalent) degree from a recognized university and over 10 years of experience in private practice or in-house, with a substantial focus on Liquids, Dry Products & Gas Marketing Activities. Must possess strong legal drafting skills, experience dealing with regulators and government representatives, and the ability to provide practical advice to non-lawyers. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 suite and excellent written and spoken English are essential.

Primary Purpose Of The JobProvide legal support for activities related to the marketing of liquids (i.e. crude & other petroleum products), petrochemicals, chemicals & fertilizers, helium and natural gas and its derived products (e.g. ethane, propane, LPG, etc) in QatarEnergy including with respect to the negotiation of all related agreements, the administration of those agreements and the management of all claims and disputes related to the same (Liquids, Dry Products & Gas Marketing Activities)The Liquids, Dry Products & Gas Marketing section will be required to support all QatarEnergy entities conducting Liquids, Dry Products & Gas Marketing Activities and will also be required to support the Ventures & Business Development division on projects that it is developing and managing, to the extent those projects involve marketing of liquids, dry products & gas productsRequired Experience And SkillsJD/LLB (or equivalent) degree at a recognized university10+ years experience in private practice or in-house, a substantial amount of which is in relation to Liquids, Dry Products & Gas Marketing ActivitiesStrong legal (including drafting) skillsExperience of dealing with regulators and government representativesAbility to assimilate complex legal matters and to provide practical advice to non-lawyersExcellent command of written and spoken English.
