Collaborate with Group FP&A and Group Products & Segments Business Finance functions to drive smooth and seamless MI reporting process for International Banking with standardized and consistent MI format across products, segments, and countries MI reporting. Plan and set targets to ensure international business is successful. Prepare and manage the monthly MI reporting cycle for International Banking Division covering month end actuals, budget and forecast, with strategic results commentary to create a broad understanding of the International Banking Division financial performance. Act as the primary point of contact (representing International CFO) for International Banking MI governance and MI reporting design and implementation with strong data skills and reporting system knowledge. Ensure results are accurate or clearly highlight any known issues. Produce and/or manage the production of monthly MI packs for International Banking Division, highlighting the actual results and forecast with strategic commentary to create a broad understanding of the International Banking Division financial performance. Ensure MI packs production is well-managed with data controls and checks to ensure MI quality (accuracy and completeness) and with timely delivery to relevant stakeholders across International Division and Group, including the following MI packs: Flash pack MI pack Forecast & pipeline pack Business review pack N1 & N2 BSC pack Implement appropriate maker/checker controls for all MI packs. Ensure the monthly/quarterly (or any specific periodical window) PcP and budget adjustment process is well-managed for International Banking Division, by having effective process and communication with country Finance teams, Group FP&A team, Group products/segments Finance teams to put in necessary PcP and budget adjustment with appropriate adjustment DOA approval. MI governance Develop and manage the International MI reporting governance framework to determine necessary MI scope (what is required to provide robust and factual insights on financial performance), MI schedule (when can the MI packs be ready for timely business decision making), and MI quality (what controls are required to ensure MI accuracy and completeness). Design and build International MI reporting models and align with Group FP&A and other Product MI/Segmental MI reporting teams to ensure consistent implementation across international locations. Build and maintain efficient MI working files to enable smooth and seamless MI packs production (for MI completeness and timeliness), with built-in data validation controls (for MI accuracy). Build and maintain standardized financial MI data and presentation models by coordinating feedback and financial presentation requirements from business stakeholders from International and Group. Roll out standardized financial MI data and presentation models to country Finance teams and guide the country Finance teams to apply the standardized models consistently for country strategy presentation and business review presentation. Design and build robust MI data model to support strategic analysis (both regular and ad hoc basis). Be the primary point of contact (representing International CFO) to support various MI transformation, reporting automation, budget and forecast process and system changes projects implementation. Budget & forecast process Be the primary point of contact (representing International CFO) for International Banking Division's budgeting and forecasting process, including budget and forecast system changes projects implementation. Implement and manage process flow to enable the monthly rolling forecasting framework with structured work process across International locations. Develop and maintain efficient process flow to aggregate country bottom-up forecast as the International divisional level bottom-up forecast, covering all necessary MI aspects, including key PL and BS lines, products, segments/sectors, and corridors. Drive the annual budgeting process for International Banking Division by pulling country bottom-up budget through a structured process and communication with country Finance teams. Be the primary point of contact (representing International CFO) for the annual budgeting process to drive the country Finance teams for timely submission of country bottom-up budgets and ensure the country bottom-up budgets quality (sensible budget with growth assumptions in line with Group FP&A guidance). Engage various budgeting stakeholders via a structured process and communication plan (including Group FP&A, product Finance teams, segments Finance teams, Group Treasury/ALM, Credit and Risk, country Finance teams, international management team) to ensure budget and forecast are complete and holistic, highlighting key risks and opportunities to drive financial performance. Strategy and business review Participate actively in country business review and International business review by providing strategic inputs on key financial insights, including key trends and drivers by products, segments, countries, corridors, key clients, and key GLs. Prepare or critique business cases or initiatives aimed at enhancing country or International performance. Oversight & operational deployment Whenever necessary, connect country Finance teams with International Business Financial Analytics and International Financial Governance teams and relevant Group Finance teams on issues pertaining to MI/FP&A, budgets, financial control, taxation, and provide input from the regular financial assessment and investigation. Be ready and able to provide hands-on FTE capacity to regional or country finance projects with heavy workloads, staff absence, cross training, and contingency planning. Provide thought leadership to country Finance teams in subject matters that cover the full spectrum of Group Finance activity (FP&A, Business Partnering, Treasury, Financial Reporting, Tax and Control). Frameworks, boundaries, & decision-making authority Group Finance policy adherence Group FP&A policies and procedures Delegated authorities determined by operational deployment as and when they occur Qualifications & experience Minimum qualification Degree or professional qualifications such as ACA, CPA, MBA.
