Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and 5-7 years of professional experience in BIM and MEP engineering. Proficiency in Revit MEP, Navisworks, and AutoCAD is essential, along with a strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems, BIM standards, and mechanical engineering calculations. Experience with HAP software, clash detection, coordination, and BIM model audits is required, as are strong documentation skills and knowledge of building codes. Description
We are looking for an experienced Mechanical BIM Engineer to join our team and support the delivery of high-quality MEP design and BIM projects.The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and coordinating detailed mechanical models, drawings, schedules, and construction documentation. The role will also involve clash detection, model auditing, design reviews, technical coordination, and supporting junior team members.Responsibilities:Develop and update detailed 3D mechanical BIM models using Autodesk Revit MEP and AutoCAD.Prepare detailed shop drawings, coordination layouts, and as-built documentation.Perform clash detection and coordination using Navisworks and resolve identified design conflicts.Review and coordinate HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems in accordance with applicable building codes and project requirements.Perform and review mechanical engineering calculations and system sizing.Utilize mechanical design and calculation software such as HAP and other relevant engineering tools.Conduct BIM model audits and ensure compliance with project BIM standards and LOD requirements.Maintain model accuracy and consistency throughout different project stages.Prepare material reports, quantity take-offs, and schedules when required.Provide technical support to site teams and assist in resolving engineering and coordination issues.Coordinate closely with architects, structural engineers, MEP disciplines, clients, and other project stakeholders.Participate in design coordination meetings and design reviews.Support junior engineers and team members by sharing technical knowledge and BIM best practices.Contribute to the continuous improvement of BIM workflows, standards, and documentation processes.Required :Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.5–7 years of professional experience in BIM and MEP engineering.Strong practical experience with Revit MEP, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.Good understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.Strong knowledge of BIM standards and LOD 300–500.Good understanding of mechanical engineering calculations and design principles.Experience with HAP or other mechanical design/calculation software.Ability to perform clash detection, coordination, and BIM model audits.Strong technical documentation and drawing production skills.Good understanding of applicable local and international building codes.Strong communication, coordination, and teamwork skills.Ability to work effectively with international clients and multidisciplinary project teams.Strong attention to detail and commitment to technical quality.
