The role ensures all areas are maintained to the hotel's quality, safety, and aesthetic standards while minimizing disruption to guests and hotel operations.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out painting, repainting, touch-up, and decorative works throughout the hotel.Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling, and repairing imperfections before painting.Paint guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house areas, offices, and other hotel facilities as required.Perform preventive painting and maintenance works according to the hotel schedule.Select and properly apply appropriate paints, coatings, and finishing materials.Ensure painting tools and equipment are properly used, cleaned, maintained, and stored.Keep work areas clean, safe, and organized during and after completion of tasks.Follow all hotel health, safety, and environmental procedures.Respond promptly to painting and maintenance requests from hotel departments.Report major surface damage or maintenance issues to the Engineering Supervisor.Minimize disruption to guests while carrying out work in guest and public areas.Support other Engineering and maintenance activities as assigned.QualificationsCertificate or Diploma in Painting, Building Maintenance, Construction, or a related field is preferred.Minimum one (1) year of experience as a Painter, preferably in a hotel, resort, commercial building, or facility management environment.Good knowledge of painting techniques, surface preparation, and finishing methods.Ability to work with different types of paints, coatings, and painting tools.Basic knowledge of building maintenance and repair works.Good understanding of health, safety, and environmental procedures.Good attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality finishing standards.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Good communication and interpersonal skills.Physically fit and able to work at heights when required.Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.Not the right fit Set up email alerts as new job postings become available that meet your interest!
