Description
Operate and monitor RO and STP systems to ensure continuous and efficient plant operation.
Monitor parameters such as pH, TDS, conductivity, flow, pressure, turbidity, DO, MLSS, COD, BOD, chlorine, and other relevant water-quality parameters.
Maintain daily operation logs, production records, chemical consumption records, and equipment performance reports.
Operate and monitor RO systems including:
Feed and high-pressure pumps
Multimedia and activated-carbon filters
Cartridge filters
RO membranes
Dosing systems
CIP systems
Pressure vessels and associated piping
Operate and monitor STP processes, including:
Screening and grit removal
Equalization
Biological treatment/aeration
MBBR/MBR/SBR or conventional biological systems
Clarification
Filtration
Disinfection
Sludge handling and dewatering
Ensure treated water meets required quality standards and discharge/reuse requirements.
Conduct preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of pumps, motors, blowers, valves, instruments, dosing systems, filters, membranes, and other plant equipment.
Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns, abnormal process conditions, high differential pressure, membrane fouling, scaling, low recovery, and poor treated-water quality.
Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, laboratory, and maintenance teams for plant-related issues.
Manage chemical dosing and ensure safe handling, storage, and consumption of treatment chemicals.
Monitor RO recovery, reject flow, permeate quality, membrane performance, and CIP requirements.
Monitor STP biological performance and maintain appropriate MLSS, sludge age, DO, and other process parameters.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly O&M reports and performance summaries.
Maintain spare-parts inventory and identify critical spares required for uninterrupted operation.
Support inspection, servicing, calibration, and replacement of instruments and equipment.
Ensure housekeeping and cleanliness of the RO/STP plant and surrounding areas.
Follow HSE procedures, permit-to-work systems, PPE requirements, and chemical safety procedures.
Ensure compliance with applicable environmental regulations, company procedures, and client requirements.
Train and guide operators on proper plant operation, equipment handling, safety, and emergency procedures.
Coordinate with external laboratories, vendors, contractors, and service providers when required.
Participate in emergency response, breakdown maintenance, and plant shutdown/start-up activities.
