Role overview
Position: Consultant/specialist general surgeon
Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Hospital type: Private/government/multispecialty/tertiary care (JCI-accredited)
Experience required: Minimum 3+ years post specialist/board certification
Practice setting: Advanced surgical unit with modern operating theatres and multidisciplinary clinical teams
The successful candidate will join a collaborative clinical environment supported by experienced surgeons, anesthesiologists, nursing staff, and critical care specialists.
Key responsibilities
Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient general surgery care
Perform elective and emergency surgical procedures, including laparoscopic and open surgeries
Diagnose and manage a wide range of surgical conditions
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Participate in hospital clinical governance, quality improvement, and patient safety initiatives
Contribute to the development and expansion of surgical services within the hospital
