With operations all over the world, we celebrate a diverse range of cultures at CPL Aromas and, we offer equal opportunities and flexibilities.Reports ToGlobal Buyer LeadJob PurposeThe Global Buyer will be responsible for:Ensure all raw material demands are analysed and Purchase Orders executed daily in conjunction with the local buyersEnsure global safety stocks are accurate and updated in D365 in line with global sales forecasts and changing demandsTo have zero Purchase Orders without unconfirmed delivery datesTo have supplier lead times regularly updated in order to support smooth running of D365 and CTPTo maximise the potential savings by centralising the purchase of non-commodity raw materials taking advantage of group consolidated demandTasks and ResponsibilitiesResponsible for support to the local buyers and covering their roles during holidays/illness/increased demand or lack of local resource to ensure the Daily buying is carried out and the necessary Purchase Orders raised on timeResponsible for streamlining and harmonising the global buying process To provide a direct link between Global Procurement and local buyers/order placersResponsible for analysing raw material safety stocks and liaising with local buyers to ensure the safety stocks are updated on time in D365Responsible for ensuring global purchasing parameters are kept up to date in D365. Vendor lead times/pack sizes/min/max order quantitiesTo assist the local buyers in ensuring Purchase Order confirmations are received in a timely manner and D365 is constantly updated Responsible for centralising, coordinating and contracting small order purchasing across the manufacturing sites to ensure best price and maximise savings for all locations from global vendors in conjunction with global purchasingTo participate in the local daily production meetings and responsible for taking action to mitigate raw material shortages in productionResponsible for analysing and coordinating the proactive movement of ageing stock between CPL factoriesCollaborate with IT and cross-functional teams to support implementation of group purchasing system improvements and automation initiatives.Skills And Attributes RequiredQualification / Experience1-2 years experience in a Purchasing / Buyer Role preferableExperience of work in a fast moving manufacturing industry would be an advantageIdeally have experience dealing with overseas suppliers and proven knowledge of shipping/freight/inco termsIn depth knowledge of D365 and/or equivalent ERP systemSkills And KnowledgeStrong stakeholder engagement skillsTeam player who can communicate and influence across all business levelsStrong financial acumen, commercial awareness, and results orientated with a proven track record in global contract negotiationTrusted decision-making abilityAble to remain resilient and efficient when working under pressureWell-developed market knowledgeGreat planning and organising skillsAttributesMust display and demonstrate attitudes in line with the Company ValuesAll qualified applicants will be considered for employment irrespective of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, age, sex, gender identity or disability status.
