Build and Develop trade lane consolidations for South African export traffic. Engage with the Global DGF network to promote and develop the Gateway for neighboring countries and local coastal branches. Coordinate day to day operations within the Airfreight Gateway. Assist & support ACC Manager in rate & capacity procurement as requiredJoin us in connecting people and improving lives!In this Ocean Freight Specialist position Implement OFR Ops/CS plans and processes to provide ocean freight services for internal and external customersAnalyze and collate to provide requirements of freight control center, and to support and provide operations team with the required details, information and instructions for operational performanceCoordinate freight administration in providing allocation and reservations of freight on planned line haulContribute to develop and execute plans for ocean freight products in areas such as perishables, pharmaceutical, aviation, etc.Identify opportunities to expand business with new clients and continuously improve in-house customer servicesBuild close business relationship with existing clients, conduct customer visits and maintain a desired level of customer retentionStay updated on account performances, draft and provide monthly reports to managementImplement pricing strategy and respond to pricing enquiries in an efficient and competitive mannerDeliver day-to-day shipment documentation for freight forwarding, assist in development of shipping tenders and ensure on-time submission on relevant documentsSeek opportunities to enhance ocean freight productivity, and efficient resource allocation and utilizationAnalyze and provide input for processes and design systems to enhance service qualityResolve and analyze issues in day-to-day delivery and implement practices for OFR Ops/CS focusing on increasing effectiveness and efficiencyProvide support on issues and problems from less experienced/ new team members, provide direction and guidance as neededIn area of OFR product:Create and/or confirm transport orders, perform and optimize bookingsPrepare, control, and distribute all required Import/Export documentsIdentify performance issues of suppliers, and propose solutions to improve performanceUpdate Customs shipment information and physical status, resolve customer issues and incidentsNow, here is what we need from you!
