Overview of the Role
The L&D Consultant is pivotal in fostering capability across the business by nurturing facilitators, managers, and delivery partners, thereby strengthening learning impacts. The role involves designing, leading, and implementing innovative learning architectures that are commercially relevant and cater to diverse business contexts. Success involves driving engagement through creative digital campaigns and building strong stakeholder relationships to position L&D as a key value driver. Maintaining high standards of delivery, the consultant uses strategic learning solutions to ensure practical business application and reporting insights for continuous improvement.
What You Will Do
Develop facilitators, managers, and delivery partners to enhance scaled learning impacts.
Embed a strong culture of coaching, accountability, and consistent performance standards.
Design strategic outcome-driven learning architectures tailored to diverse business contexts, integrating commercial relevance and innovative solutions.
Implement simulations, board games, digital learning journeys, and team development events.
Translate business needs into brand-specific learning interventions from diagnosis to instructional design.
Drive creative learning engagement campaigns with visual, digital, and design tools to enhance learner experience.
Build stakeholder networks and relationships using consultative engagement and visual storytelling to influence decisions.
Oversee delivery across programs, ensuring facilitation standards, disciplined execution, and sustained engagement beyond the classroom.
Utilize data reporting tools to generate insights for decision-making, program enhancement, and communication.
Understand commercial and operational needs in the retail industry and align developmental priorities.
Required Skills to Be Successful
Instructional design and content development expertise.
Ability to build strong stakeholder relationships and networks.
Data-driven insight generation using Excel and other tools.
Proficiency in using digital tools for creative engagement campaigns.
What Qualifies You for the Role
7+ years of experience in Learning and Development or related fields.
Proven experience in designing and implementing experiential learning solutions such as simulations and digital games.
Strong understanding of retail industry commercial and operational requirements.
Proficiency in digital design tools such as Canva, Illustrator, and Vyond.
