Key responsibilities
Provide consultant-level assessment and management of critically ill and acutely unwell pediatric patients.
Lead the stabilization and management of patients with respiratory failure, sepsis, shock, trauma, and other complex acute conditions.
Manage patients requiring advanced monitoring and critical care support.
Perform and oversee appropriate emergency and critical care procedures.
Coordinate patient transfers, referrals, and escalation of care when required.
Lead multidisciplinary teams and participate in clinical decision-making.
Provide supervision, mentorship, and clinical guidance to junior doctors and medical staff.
Communicate effectively with parents and families regarding diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with hospital policies.
Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement, patient safety, and service development initiatives.
Contribute to teaching, training, and continuing professional development programmes.
Work closely with Pediatrics, Emergency Medicine, Anesthesia, Surgery, and other specialist teams.
Requirements
