For one of our clients, we are looking for an experienced Lead Infrastructure Operations Engineer to provide senior-level technical leadership across a complex hybrid infrastructure environment.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the day-to-day operation and performance of hybrid cloud, server, network, and on-premises infrastructure.Serve as the senior escalation point for complex infrastructure, networking, and security-related incidents.Evaluate the existing technology environment to uncover architectural, capacity, operational, and security deficiencies.Create and execute improvement initiatives focused on availability, resilience, performance, and risk reduction.Manage advanced administration and troubleshooting across physical servers, virtual environments, storage, backup systems, and cloud services.Oversee network infrastructure, including switches, wireless access points, routing, firewalls, VPNs, load balancers, and network-access controls.Provide technical direction for Cisco ISE, CCTV, and other facility-related technology systems.Establish infrastructure standards, operating procedures, system-hardening guidelines, and technical controls.Work closely with the Cybersecurity team to implement and maintain required security measures.Lead major-incident response, root-cause investigations, and corrective-action activities.Monitor infrastructure capacity, system performance, availability, backup effectiveness, and disaster-recovery preparedness.Maintain infrastructure roadmaps, technical documentation, continuity plans, and operational records.Define monitoring and reporting practices, including relevant infrastructure performance indicators.Review proposed technical changes to ensure appropriate impact assessment, documentation, approval, and implementation.Coordinate delivery and support activities with cloud providers, technology vendors, and service partners.Advise on future infrastructure investments, modernization opportunities, and service enhancements.Coach infrastructure team members and facilitate organized knowledge-transfer sessions.Contribute to approved transformation, modernization, or migration programs as required.Ensure infrastructure operations align with company policies, cybersecurity controls, and relevant industry standards.Required Qualifications and ExperienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related discipline.At least 10 years of experience in infrastructure operations, systems administration, and enterprise networking.Strong background managing large-scale hybrid cloud and on-premises environments.Advanced knowledge of Windows and/or Linux administration, virtualization, storage, and backup technologies.Extensive understanding of routing, switching, wireless infrastructure, firewalls, VPNs, load balancing, and network-access control.Practical experience with Microsoft Azure, AWS, or comparable cloud platforms.Proven knowledge of infrastructure security, system hardening, vulnerability remediation, and compliance requirements.Ability to assess complex environments and produce realistic, prioritized improvement roadmaps.Demonstrated success managing major incidents, complex technical issues, and root-cause analysis.Comfortable working as both a senior hands-on engineer and a technical leader.Strong stakeholder engagement, vendor coordination, reporting, and presentation skills.Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication abilities.Good command of English.Preferred QualificationsAdvanced certifications in Microsoft, Cisco, VMware, AWS, Azure, cybersecurity, or related technologies.Certifications such as CCNP, Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Solutions Architect, VCP, CISSP, or equivalent.Experience working with Cisco ISE and enterprise CCTV or building-technology environments.Knowledge of infrastructure monitoring, automation, backup, and disaster-recovery platforms.ITIL certification and experience developing infrastructure service-management practices.Previous experience supporting government entities, critical infrastructure, or large enterprise environments.
