About the role
A leading healthcare provider in the UAE is seeking a highly skilled consultant pediatrician to join its growing clinical team. The role focuses on comprehensive pediatric outpatient and inpatient care, preventive health, child development, and the management of common and complex pediatric conditions.
The successful candidate will work within a modern, multidisciplinary clinical environment supported by experienced consultants, pediatric nurses, allied health professionals, advanced diagnostic facilities, and pediatric care infrastructure.
Role overview
The consultant pediatrician will provide comprehensive medical care to infants, children, and adolescents, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, preventive care, developmental monitoring, and appropriate follow-up.
Key responsibilities
Provide comprehensive medical care for infants, children, and adolescents in outpatient and inpatient settings.
Diagnose and manage common pediatric illnesses, infections, asthma, allergies, gastrointestinal conditions, and other childhood medical conditions.
Assess growth, development, nutrition, and developmental concerns and provide appropriate management or referral.
Support immunisation, preventive healthcare, health screening, nutrition counselling, and family education.
Monitor children with acute and chronic medical conditions and develop appropriate treatment and follow-up plans.
Recognise and promptly escalate acutely unwell children and support safe admission, referral, and emergency care pathways.
Coordinate care with neonatology, pediatric subspecialists, emergency medicine, surgery, and allied health teams.
Communicate effectively with children and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, medication, and ongoing care.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation, informed consent, child safeguarding awareness, and patient safety standards.
Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical governance, quality improvement, and continuing professional development.
