Requirements
Medical degree with a recognised specialist qualification in Infectious Diseases / Internal Medicine with Infectious Diseases subspecialty training.Proven Consultant-level experience in Infectious Diseases.Strong experience managing complex infectious disease cases in a tertiary-care setting.Tier 1 / Western qualification strongly preferred, including:UK CCT / CCSTAmerican BoardCanadian Board / RCPSCIrish specialist qualificationAustralian / New Zealand specialist qualificationOther recognised international qualifications may be considered.Eligible for Consultant-level UAE licensing, subject to assessment by the relevant health authority.Arabic-speaking candidates are preferred.Excellent clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.Previous experience in a leading international or Western healthcare institution is advantageous.

Consultant Infectious Disease Specialist – UAELocation: UAE – Dubai / Abu Dhabi / Al AinPosition: Consultant Infectious Disease SpecialistEmployment Type: Full-TimeQualification: Tier 1 / Western Qualified PreferredLanguage: Arabic Speaker PreferredAbout the OpportunitySearchPlus HR is seeking an experienced and highly qualified Consultant Infectious Disease Specialist to join one of the leading healthcare organisations in the UAE.The successful candidate will provide expert diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of complex infectious diseases while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, evidence-based patient care.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide specialist consultation, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up for patients with infectious diseases.Manage complex bacterial, viral, fungal, parasitic, and other infectious conditions.Evaluate patients with fever of unknown origin and complex or recurrent infections.Provide specialist consultation for patients with complicated infections and medically complex conditions.Manage infections in immunocompromised patients, including patients receiving oncology, transplant, or immunosuppressive therapies where applicable.Provide guidance on antimicrobial selection, optimisation, and duration of therapy.Contribute to antimicrobial stewardship and appropriate antibiotic-use programmes.Work closely with microbiology and laboratory teams to interpret cultures, sensitivities, and other diagnostic investigations.Collaborate with ICU, oncology, hematology, surgery, pulmonology, gastroenterology, and other specialties.Provide specialist advice on infection prevention and control.Support the management of healthcare-associated infections and outbreak investigations where required.Provide education to patients, families, and healthcare professionals regarding infection prevention and treatment.Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement, teaching, research, and continuing professional development.Maintain accurate medical records and comply with applicable UAE healthcare standards.
