Requirements
Medical degree with a recognised specialist qualification in Pediatrics and subspecialty/fellowship training in Pediatric Infectious Diseases.Proven Consultant-level experience in Pediatric Infectious Disease.Strong experience managing complex pediatric infectious disease cases.Tier 1 / Western qualification strongly preferred, including:UK CCT / CCSTAmerican BoardCanadian Board / RCPSCIrish specialist qualificationAustralian / New Zealand specialist qualificationOther recognised international qualifications may be considered.Eligible for Consultant-level UAE licensing, subject to assessment by the relevant health authority.Arabic-speaking candidates are preferred.Excellent clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.Experience in a leading international or Western healthcare institution is advantageous.

Consultant Pediatric Infectious Disease – UAELocation: UAE – Dubai / Abu Dhabi / Al AinPosition: Consultant Pediatric Infectious Disease SpecialistEmployment Type: Full-TimeQualification: Tier 1 / Western Qualified PreferredLanguage: Arabic Speaker PreferredAbout the OpportunitySearchPlus HR is seeking an experienced and highly qualified Consultant Pediatric Infectious Disease Specialist to join one of the leading healthcare organisations in the UAE.The successful candidate will provide expert diagnosis and management of infectious diseases in infants, children, and adolescents, working closely with pediatricians, intensivists, microbiologists, infection-control teams, and other specialists.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide specialist consultation, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up for pediatric infectious diseases.Manage common and complex bacterial, viral, fungal, and parasitic infections.Evaluate and manage children with recurrent, persistent, or complicated infections.Provide specialist input for children with fever of unknown origin and complex infectious presentations.Manage infections in immunocompromised and medically complex pediatric patients.Provide antimicrobial management and contribute to appropriate antimicrobial stewardship.Assist in the diagnosis and management of travel-related and tropical infections where relevant.Collaborate with microbiology and laboratory teams regarding diagnostic investigations and antimicrobial sensitivities.Work closely with PICU, neonatology, hematology/oncology, immunology, pulmonology, and other multidisciplinary teams.Provide guidance regarding infection prevention and control measures.Educate patients, families, and healthcare professionals regarding infection prevention, treatment, and appropriate antimicrobial use.Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement, teaching, research, and continuing professional development.Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with applicable UAE healthcare standards.
