Job description
We are seeking an experienced consultant/specialist neurosurgeon to join a leading healthcare facility in the UAE. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive surgical and clinical care for patients with complex neurological and neurosurgical conditions.
Key responsibilities
Assess, diagnose, and manage patients requiring neurosurgical intervention.
Perform elective and emergency neurosurgical procedures.
Manage conditions involving the brain, spine, spinal cord, and peripheral nervous system.
Perform procedures for brain tumors, spinal disorders, traumatic brain injuries, vascular conditions, and other neurosurgical pathologies.
Conduct pre-operative evaluations and develop individualized surgical plans.
Provide comprehensive post-operative care and manage surgical complications.
Participate in neurosurgical emergencies and on-call services as required.
Collaborate with neurologists, neuroradiologists, oncologists, intensivists, rehabilitation specialists, and other multidisciplinary teams.
Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and clinical governance activities.
Maintain accurate medical records and surgical documentation.
Contribute to teaching, training, research, and quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements

Relevant post-specialty experience in neurosurgery.
Strong experience in complex cranial and/or spinal neurosurgical procedures.
Experience with minimally invasive or advanced neurosurgical techniques is preferred.
Valid professional registration/license in the country of practice.
Excellent surgical judgment, clinical skills, and decision-making abilities.
Strong communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
Consultant candidates: appropriate senior-level qualifications and substantial post-specialty experience.
