Role overview
The successful candidate will work within a collaborative, multidisciplinary clinical environment supported by experienced consultants, nurses, allied health professionals and modern diagnostic and treatment infrastructure.
Key responsibilities
Assess and manage cranial, spinal, neurovascular, neuro-oncology and neurotrauma cases according to expertise.
Perform neurosurgical procedures with safe patient selection, consent and perioperative planning.
Coordinate care with neurology, ICU, radiology, oncology, rehabilitation and emergency teams.
Manage acute neurological deterioration, postoperative care, complications and long-term follow-up.
Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences, tumour boards and trauma pathways.
Support surgical governance, infection control, audit and patient safety initiatives.
