Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or a related field Minimum 10 years of professional experience in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management or Commercial Management Proven experience on large-scale construction projects Strong knowledge of cost planning, estimating, BOQ preparation, tendering and procurement Solid experience with contract administration, variations, claims and final accounts Good understanding of FIDIC and other standard forms of construction contracts Experience working with contractors and/or consultancy companies is highly preferred Proficiency in relevant cost management and quantity surveying software Strong analytical, negotiation and communication skills Professional working proficiency in English
Description
We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Dubai. The successful candidate will play a key role in the commercial and cost management of major construction projects, from pre-contract stages through project completion.Key Responsibilities: Prepare detailed cost estimates, cost plans and project budgets Prepare, review and manage Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and quantity take-offs Conduct cost analysis and evaluate project expenditures against approved budgets Manage the valuation of works, interim payments and final accounts Review and assess variations, change orders, claims and contractual notices Support tendering and procurement activities, including the evaluation of bids and subcontractor proposals Negotiate and manage commercial aspects with contractors, subcontractors and suppliers Monitor project costs and prepare regular cost reports and forecasts for management Identify commercial and financial risks and propose appropriate mitigation measures Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and project commercial procedures Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Procurement and Finance teams throughout the project lifecycle
