ResponsibilitiesDevelop and manage project budgets and cost plans across all stages, from concept design through detailed design and execution.Review, validate, and challenge cost estimates submitted by consultants and contractors to ensure accuracy and alignment with project scope.Prepare independent cost estimates, benchmarking analyses, and feasibility studies to support decision-making.Lead and manage the full tendering process, including contractor prequalification, bid evaluation, and award recommendations.Analyze and compare contractor bids to ensure competitiveness, transparency, and value for money.Identify and drive value engineering opportunities to optimize project costs without compromising quality, design intent, or functionality.Monitor and analyze market trends, including material costs, labor rates, and construction indices, to maintain accurate cost benchmarks.Review and assess variation orders, claims, and change requests from a commercial and cost control perspective.Support contract negotiations to secure favorable commercial terms and mitigate financial risks.Collaborate closely with Design, Project Management, and Finance teams to ensure alignment on project objectives and budgets.Track and control project costs to ensure delivery within approved budgets and highlight potential deviations proactively.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Architectural, or Construction Management).10–15 years of relevant experience in cost estimation, tendering, and commercial management within real estate or construction companies.Proven experience in managing large-scale development projects (residential, commercial, or mixed-use).Strong expertise in BOQ preparation, cost planning, and tendering processes.
