Job description
We are seeking a highly qualified consultant pediatric radiologist to join a leading healthcare provider in the Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Al Dhafra regions. The successful candidate will provide expert diagnostic imaging services for infants, children, and adolescents while collaborating closely with pediatric specialists to deliver exceptional patient care. The role requires expertise in pediatric imaging, excellent diagnostic skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of clinical practice.
Key responsibilities
Perform and interpret a comprehensive range of pediatric diagnostic imaging studies, including X-ray, ultrasound, CT, MRI, and fluoroscopy.
Provide accurate and timely radiology reports for neonatal, infant, pediatric, and adolescent patients.
Perform and supervise pediatric image-guided procedures where applicable.
Collaborate with pediatricians, pediatric surgeons, neonatologists, oncologists, emergency physicians, and other multidisciplinary teams.
Participate in pediatric multidisciplinary meetings and tumor boards.
Ensure radiation safety by following ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles in pediatric imaging.
Supervise radiographers and junior medical staff in pediatric imaging protocols.
Maintain accurate medical records and comply with hospital policies, DOH regulations, and international best practices.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and accreditation activities.
Contribute to teaching, mentoring, and continuous medical education programs.
Participate in the on-call roster as required.
