Physical requirements include lifting over 50 pounds, working in bending, squatting, and standing positions for prolonged periods, and performing tasks like reaching, pushing, pulling, and grasping. Must pass forklift certifications, a non-DOT physical exam, and be legally authorized to work in the United States. Overtime may be required.

Are you a skilled (Powered Equipment Operator) looking to grow your career in a dynamic and fast-paced environment? Emerson has an exciting opportunity for a Material Handler III at our Olive Branch, MS distribution center!
 

As a MATERIAL HANDLER III (Powered Equipment Operator Reach Truck) 1st or 2nd shift, this role will safely and efficiently handle materials throughout the warehouse — stocking incoming items, performing replenishments, and picking orders using powered equipment such as reach trucks and pallet jacks. You’ll play a key part in maintaining productivity and ensuring our operations run smoothly. 

 

Monday through Friday

1st Shift  (6:00am - 2:30pm)

2nd Shift (10:00 am - 6:30pm) to include a $1.48 per hour shift differential pay

 

 

 

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Responsible for moving product within the warehouse by means of motorized equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, order selectors or reach lifts.
  • Responsible to stock incoming items, to replenish flow racks, and pick orders with use of RF equipment
  • Create cartons and labels prior to shipping
  • Maintain productivity minimum standards with a sense of urgency.
  • Adhere to all safety rules, policies and procedures
  • Replenish orders as necessary to support operation.  
  • Supply cardboard boxes and bags for departments.
  • Maintain safe actions on and off the equipment in compliance with all safety rules/regulations required by Emerson, federal, state and local provisions.  
  • Meet department quality, attendance and productivity requirements. 
  • Perform necessary housekeeping duties to maintain clean work environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

For this Role, You Will Need: 

  • High School diploma or GED 
  • Requires prior reach lift experience with 6 months previous warehouse experience.
  • Previous shipping/receiving/material handling experience. 
  • Ability to operate forklift in a safe manner.
  • Physical requirements:
  • Able to lift parts weighing more than (50) fifty pounds (assistance when needed) and to work in bending, squatting, and standing positions  for prolonged periods of time.
  • Occasionally reaching, pushing, pulling, grasping, banding, stretching, bending, and standing frequently. 
  • Must be able to work quickly meeting productivity and quality standards.
  • Promote an environment where individual contribution (s) toward quality and cost improvements are maximized.
  • Must pass forklift certifications and requirements to operate forklifts.
  • Must pass a non-DOT physical exam
  • Ability to work overtime when necessary.
  • Legal authorized to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided.
