Job Overview We are seeking an enthusiastic, caring and dedicated Nursery Teacher to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Early Years professional who is passionate about providing exceptional care and education for young children. You will lead a classroom team, creating a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive. Working closely with colleagues, parents and the Nursery Manager, you will play a key role in supporting children’s learning and development, maintaining the highest standards of care and safeguarding, and contributing to the continued success of the nursery. Skills, Experience & Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Lead and inspire a classroom team, promoting collaboration, consistency and high standards of practice. Lead the key person approach, supporting children’s learning, development and wellbeing. Plan, implement and evaluate engaging learning experiences in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Observe, assess and monitor children’s progress, ensuring meaningful next steps are identified and every child is supported to reach their full potential. Build positive and professional relationships with children, parents, carers and external professionals. Act as a positive role model, supporting colleagues to continually improve the quality of care and education. Create and maintain a safe, stimulating, inclusive and welcoming learning environment. Maintain accurate children’s records, observations, assessments and learning journals. Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies and procedures are followed at all times. Contribute to the continuous improvement of the nursery through collaboration, innovation and reflective practice. Attend staff meetings, mandatory training and actively engage in continuous professional development. Skills & Experience Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (or recognised equivalent). Previous experience working within an Early Years setting. A sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and child development. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships. Strong organisational, ICT and time management skills. A commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion. A proactive, flexible and professional approach. A genuine passion for providing exceptional early years education and care.
