Job Purpose:The Construction Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing infrastructure construction activities from planning through completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with approved quality standards, specifications, and client requirements.Key Responsibilities:Manage and supervise day-to-day construction activities across infrastructure projects. Lead site teams, subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution. Plan, coordinate, and monitor project activities, resources, manpower, materials, and equipment. Ensure construction works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project schedules. Coordinate with consultants, clients, government authorities, and other stakeholders. Monitor project progress against approved schedules and take corrective actions where required. Review and resolve technical and construction-related issues in coordination with the engineering team. Ensure compliance with HSE policies, local regulations, and project-specific safety requirements. Monitor the quality of construction works and ensure compliance with QA/QC standards. Manage subcontractor performance and ensure timely completion of assigned works. Review project plans, drawings, BOQs, method statements, and material submittals. Support cost control and ensure efficient utilization of project resources. Attend progress meetings and provide regular updates on project status, risks, and challenges. Identify potential delays, risks, and site issues and develop appropriate mitigation plans. Ensure proper documentation of construction activities, inspections, approvals, and project records. Coordinate handover, testing, commissioning, snagging, and project close-out activities. Infrastructure Experience:The ideal candidate should have strong experience in infrastructure construction projects, such as:Roads and highways Drainage and stormwater networks Sewerage and water networks Utility infrastructure Earthworks and excavation Roadworks and asphalt works Infrastructure landscaping and external works Underground utilities and associated civil works Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. 8–12+ years of experience in construction, with significant experience in infrastructure projects. Proven experience managing large-scale infrastructure construction projects. Strong knowledge of construction methods, project planning, and site management. Experience managing subcontractors and multidisciplinary site teams. Good knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, BOQs, and method statements. Strong knowledge of HSE and QA/QC requirements. GCC construction experience is highly preferred. Strong communication, leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under project deadlines.
