The successful candidate will provide comprehensive care for patients with acute and complex cerebrovascular conditions, from emergency assessment through secondary prevention and rehabilitation. Key responsibilities Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with acute ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke. Provide rapid evaluation and management of acute stroke presentations, including thrombolysis and thrombectomy pathways where applicable. Manage transient ischemic attacks (TIA) and patients at high risk of cerebrovascular events. Develop individualized treatment and secondary stroke prevention plans. Interpret and coordinate relevant investigations, including CT/MRI brain, vascular imaging, and other diagnostic studies. Manage post-stroke complications and coordinate rehabilitation and follow-up care. Work closely with neurologists, neuroradiologists, neurosurgeons, emergency physicians, intensivists, and rehabilitation teams. Participate in multidisciplinary stroke meetings and develop evidence-based stroke pathways. Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records. Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement, teaching, research, and continuing professional development. Requirements MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
