Job summary The Senior Government Liaison Manager will manage relationships with government entities, regulatory authorities, partners, and other key stakeholders in Syria. The role will support regulatory approvals, ensure compliance with local laws and agreements, and advise senior management on government, political, and regulatory matters.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement government relations strategies in Syria.Act as the main contact for ministries, regulatory authorities, and public institutions.Build and maintain strong relationships with government stakeholders and business partners.Represent the company in official meetings, negotiations, and government engagements.Manage regulatory approvals, permits, submissions, and official documentation.Ensure compliance with Syrian laws, regulations, Production Sharing Agreements, and Shareholder Agreements.Monitor regulatory and legislative developments affecting energy operations.Identify and report political, regulatory, contractual, and compliance risks.Support corporate governance, ethics, and anti-corruption requirements.Provide regular updates and strategic advice to senior management.Coordinate with internal departments, partners, and authorities to support business and project requirements.
