The role We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Internal Audit Manager to join the Internal Audit function for Checkout MENA and report directly to the Global Head of Internal Audit. This critical role ensures the independent and objective assurance of Checkout.com's governance, risk management, and control environment. Based in Dubai, the role will be an important part of the Internal Audit team, working to deliver audits on various business areas, including Treasury, Finance, Operations and Compliance. The ideal candidate will be a confident, experienced audit individual with strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and one who is able to demonstrate the ability to effectively plan for and deliver the audit plan in a fast-paced environment. You will act as the senior lead for Internal Audit for Checkout MENA, driving our ambitious expansion goals in a fast-paced, regulated environment. Key responsibilities: Develop the annual audit plan for the MENA legal entities including developing and updating the audit universe and completing risk assessment processes. Support the implementation and operation of the internal audit assurance framework, including development of continuous improvement monitoring and automated audit routines (using AI / Data Analytics). Hands-on delivery and oversight of the audit plan to ensure timely and relevant audit outcomes. Effectively document and communicate key audit findings and identified risk exposures to senior management, regional Board and Risk Committee(s). Monitor the implementation of Internal Audit findings by the teams, measure the effectiveness of the improvements and report to oversight committees. Develop strong relationships internally and externally, including with the Board and local regulator. Be seen as a trusted advisor to the business. Promote and help embed a strong control culture, driving meaningful and relevant assurance programs. Periodically evaluate and enhance the audit methodology and tools, ensuring strict adherence to industry standards (including IIA standards), applicable regulations, and Checkout.com IA methodologies. Supports Quality Assurance processes in preparation of Internal & External Quality Reviews. Ensuring the company's risk management strategy and audit activities are fully aligned with UAE regulatory expectations. Lead the continuous monitoring and updating of assigned risk assessments within the Continuous Risk Assessment framework to ensure timely identification of changes in MENA's risk profiles and their seamless integration into the audit plan.
