Requirements

Key responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive obstetric and gynecological consultations and examinations.
Provide antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care.
Manage normal and high-risk pregnancies and identify potential maternal and fetal complications.
Conduct normal vaginal deliveries and perform cesarean sections where qualified.
Diagnose and manage a wide range of gynecological conditions.
Perform gynecological procedures and surgeries according to clinical expertise.
Evaluate and manage menstrual disorders, infertility, menopause, pelvic pain, and reproductive health conditions.
Perform routine gynecological examinations, cervical screening, and colposcopy where qualified.
Provide family planning, contraception, and women's health counseling.
Manage obstetric and gynecological emergencies.
Perform pre-operative assessments and provide post-operative follow-up care.
Use and interpret obstetric and gynecological ultrasound where appropriately qualified.
Collaborate with neonatologists, pediatricians, anesthesiologists, radiologists, and other specialists.
Counsel patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, pregnancy care, and preventive health.
Maintain accurate medical records and clinical documentation.
Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education (CME).
Ensure compliance with relevant healthcare authority regulations, hospital policies, infection control standards, and patient safety protocols.
Participate in on-call duties and emergency coverage as required.
Qualifications & requirements
