We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to provide technical leadership and operational governance for electrical engineering activities within a large-scale Facilities Management environment. The role will act as the technical authority for electrical infrastructure and systems, ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of critical assets including substations, switchgear, generators, UPS systems, emergency power, lighting, earthing, and lightning protection systems.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide technical leadership and governance for electrical engineering operations across the project.Act as the technical authority for substations, switchgear, generators, UPS, emergency power, lighting, earthing and lightning protection systems.Ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of electrical assets in compliance with statutory requirements, standards, and best practices.Lead electrical asset lifecycle planning, condition assessments, reliability initiatives, and renewal recommendations.Oversee planned preventive maintenance (PPM), testing, inspection, and maintenance of specialist electrical systems.Manage and coordinate civil works, including planning, execution, site inspections, quality monitoring, and progress reporting.Lead and develop engineers, supervisors, and technicians, including providing on-the-job technical training.Allocate resources and manage workloads across electrical and civil disciplines.Manage specialist contractors and vendors, ensuring compliance with scope, SLA/KPI requirements, timelines, safety, and quality standards.Support emergency response and business continuity planning related to electrical infrastructure and power failures.Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, electrical safety requirements, IEC/NFPA/NEC standards, and FM best practices.Utilize CAFM/CMMS systems such as Maximo for asset management, PPM, maintenance tracking, and reporting.Employment Type: FTE – Direct HireSalary: AED 17,000–19,000 per monthReporting to: Engineering Operations ManagerRequirementsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.Minimum 5 years of relevant electrical engineering experience, preferably within Facilities Management, Building Services, or large-scale property/infrastructure operations.Strong hands-on and technical experience with LV/MV electrical systems, substations, switchgear, generators, UPS, emergency power, lighting, earthing, and lightning protection.Experience managing PPM, asset lifecycle planning, condition assessments, and reliability programme.Experience leading technical teams comprising engineers, supervisors, and technicians.Must know either Arabic/Tagalog/SinhalaStrong contractor/vendor management experience.Knowledge of SFG20, CAFM/CMMS and preferably Maximo.Good knowledge of statutory requirements and international electrical standards.Experience coordinating civil works within an FM environment is desirable.Strong communication, reporting, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
