The Energy Contract Specialist is a senior individual contributor responsible for supporting the commercial execution of energy agreements that enable data center power readiness, long-range capacity planning, and reliable growth across the North America portfolio. This role partners with various internal departments and external advisors to structure, review, track, and support energy-related contracts. The position requires strong commercial judgment, energy market awareness, and contract discipline to manage agreements for utility services, power purchase, interconnection, transmission, on-site generation, and gas supply.

Requirements
Requires 7+ years of experience in energy contracting, utility procurement, project development, commercial operations, or a related field. Must have experience supporting or negotiating complex energy-related agreements and a working knowledge of electric utility processes, power markets, and regulatory requirements. Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with legal, finance, and other stakeholders is essential.

This role partners with Energy Strategy, Legal, Finance, Procurement, Development, Engineering, Construction, Operations, utilities, market participants, and external advisors to structure, review, track, and support energy-related contracts from early strategy through execution and operational handoff.
This role requires strong commercial judgment, energy market awareness, contract discipline, and the ability to drive alignment across technical, financial, legal, and operational stakeholders. The Energy Contract Specialist will help manage the contracting framework for utility service agreements, power purchase agreements, interconnection agreements, transmission products, on-site generation arrangements, gas supply and infrastructure agreements, gas scheduling and nomination requirements, and other energy-adjacent commercial instruments required to support mission-critical data center operations.
