We are seeking a dedicated and experienced mushroom grower to join our client's agricultural team in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the complete mushroom cultivation process, from compost preparation and crop management to harvesting and quality control. If you have a passion for mushroom farming and experience in commercial cultivation, we'd love to hear from you!
Key responsibilities
Prepare, mix, and pasteurize mushroom compost using appropriate cultivation methods.
Select and prepare compost materials, including straw, fertilizers, and other required ingredients.
Monitor and maintain optimal growing conditions such as temperature, humidity, ventilation, irrigation, and airflow.
Carry out all stages of mushroom cultivation, including spawning, casing, crop maintenance, and harvesting.
Identify and manage mushroom diseases, pests, and contamination to ensure healthy crop production.
Perform routine crop care, harvesting, grading, packing, and post-harvest handling.
Inspect mushroom quality to ensure products meet food safety and quality standards.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of growing rooms, equipment, and work areas.
Record cultivation activities and production data as required.
Operate cultivation equipment safely and efficiently.
Perform other farm-related duties as assigned by the farm manager or department head.
Requirements

Basic English communication skills are an advantage.
Agricultural engineer qualification is highly preferred. The successful candidate should be eligible to be sponsored by the establishment as the agricultural engineer required to obtain and maintain agricultural licenses issued by the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment (MOCCAE) and the Emirates Drug Establishment (EDE).
