Requirements
Proven track record in project-specific sales and business development — within construction/architectural finishes, or a comparable project-driven industry.
An existing network of Consultants, Architects, Interior Designers, Contractors and Developers, and demonstrated ability to build one from scratch.
Working knowledge of architectural hardware or a related finishing product is an advantage but not a requirement — candidates from adjacent industries are welcome.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills; a dynamic, high-energy, self-starting personality.
Strong organisational skills — able to manage a high volume of detail across multiple live projects and prioritise accordingly.
Ability to build, maintain and manage relationships with a wide range of project stakeholders.
Comfortable preparing and delivering sales and marketing presentations.
A genuine team player who works cooperatively to help the wider team capture the full spectrum of opportunity across all live projects.
Willing and able to travel regionally on a weekly basis.
Sound critical-thinking and planning ability to safeguard project success from lead to completion.

The RoleWe are looking to recruit 2–3 Business Development Executives to hunt, win and grow project-based business for the company. This is an individual-contributor, target-driven role — it is not a people-management position. The mandate is to identify prospective projects, build and convert relationships with key project stakeholders, negotiate and secure contracts, and stay closely involved through execution to protect the relationship and win the additional scope of work that typically becomes available as a project progresses.What you'll be doing:Hunt for and identify prospective projects across the region, from early design stage through to tender and award.Build and continuously expand a personal network of Consultants, Architects, Interior Designers, Contractors and Developers.Identify the key decision-makers and influencers on each project and map the stakeholder landscape.Prepare and deliver compelling sales and marketing presentations tailored to each stakeholder audience.Negotiate commercial terms and close (secure) the project.Stay engaged through project execution — visiting site regularly, coordinating with the internal team, and ensuring the project runs seamlessly for the client.Identify and secure additional scope and follow-on work that arises on projects already won.Identify partnership opportunities that help the company expand its reach and offering.Maintain and grow existing client relationships, not only chase new ones.Collaborate with colleagues across the team's projects to spot opportunities to cross-feed leads and scope from one project into another.
