Job description / Role Job Type Full Time Job Location UAE Nationality Any Nationality Salary Not Specified Gender Not Specified Arabic Fluency Not Specified Job Function Engineering - Civil & Construction Company Industry Oil & Gas / Energy Job purpose Plan, coordinate and monitor the implementation of the turnaround activities from initiation phase to close-out phase to achieve the turnaround’s milestones, KPIs and execution criteria. Contribute to ensure full and proper implementation of the turnaround from the preparation and contracting of the turnaround until close-out phase of the turnaround project, through which the job holder is liaising with internal and external stakeholders to achieve the turnaround objectives. Job specific accountabilities Turnaround planning Review the work scope for identified equipment to concur in preparation for the requirements of turnaround by original equipment manufacturer or vendor. In cooperation with the technical stakeholder of the equipment, review the alternatives for the equipment which are considered for turnaround, to eliminate the risks. Participate in the preparation of turnaround budget for the area of responsibility to ensure planned and effective spending. Prepare the technical objectives for each equipment to ensure effective implementation and monitoring to achieve the corporate goals set for the turnaround. Develop the process path of the turnaround to ensure proper planning of the turnaround activities. In preparation for the contract execution criteria (i.e. quality, HSE), contact the focal points in each function to prepare their part criteria within the plan to communicate it to the vendor prior to turnaround. Turnaround contracting Prepare the technical part of the turnaround contracting to ensure meeting the technical requirements for the related plant. Prepare the scope of service requirements for turnaround contract in preparation for contracting stage, and to ensure full details are provided in advance. In cooperation with procurement and related technical team, liaise for selection, assessment and screening of the competent contractor that meet the technical bidding. Turnaround execution and monitoring Supervise and report the activity execution by the contractors to ensure meeting the technical specifications for each, in line with the turnaround plan. Review and coordinate with the engineering-contracting team for the turnaround project close-out process to report the contracts closing and project reconciliation. Communication and coordination Share turnaround experiences from other OPCOs and industry with the concerned party, to upgrade the quality or efficiency of the turnaround activity in accordance with the best practices and technologies in the market. Monitor the actions implementation arising out of audit recommendations for maintenance execution - turnaround department conducted by internal and external networks at various phases. Initiate post turnaround lessons learned analysis and implementation of approved actions for future turnarounds. Minimum qualification Degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, or any technical qualifications. Minimum experience, knowledge & skills 5 or more years of experience, including at least 2-3 years working experience in technical projects or maintenance. Professional certifications As applicable.
