Requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant engineering experience with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Must have strong Mechanical MEP design experience, including experience in STP, wastewater, plumbing, ROP/RO, pumping stations, water treatment, piping, or mechanical equipment. Proficiency in hydraulic calculations, pump and mechanical equipment selection, P&IDs, PFDs, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Project is essential. A valid Qatar MMUP, UPDA, or MME engineering registration is mandatory.

JOB SUMMARYWe are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Mechanical MEP, STP, plumbing, ROP/RO, pumping stations, water and wastewater systems, piping, and mechanical equipment design.The candidate will be responsible for mechanical design, engineering and hydraulic calculations, equipment selection, technical documentation, drawings, technical submissions, and multidisciplinary coordination.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES• Lead mechanical design activities for MEP, STP, plumbing, ROP/RO, pumping stations, water and wastewater projects.• Prepare design concepts, calculations, layouts, specifications, technical reports, and engineering documentation.• Prepare hydraulic calculations, equipment sizing, equipment datasheets, schedules, and specifications.• Prepare and review General Arrangement drawings, piping layouts, isometric drawings, P&IDs, and PFDs.• Review technical material submittals, shop drawings, contractor bids, supplier proposals, and specifications.• Coordinate mechanical requirements with electrical, civil, structural, process, and other disciplines.• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal project teams.• Provide technical solutions using sound engineering judgment.• Lead and support junior engineers and contribute to project planning and technical coordination.• Ensure designs comply with project requirements, Qatar regulations, and applicable international codes and standards.REQUIRED EXPERIENCE• Minimum 5 years of relevant engineering experience.• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.• Strong Mechanical MEP design experience.• Experience in at least several of the following: STP, wastewater, plumbing, ROP/RO, pumping stations, water treatment, piping, mechanical equipment, or industrial MEP.• Experience in hydraulic and mechanical calculations.• Experience with pumps, valves, piping, and mechanical equipment selection and sizing.• Experience with P&IDs, PFDs, GA drawings, and piping isometrics.• Experience reviewing shop drawings, material submittals, contractor bids, and technical submissions.• Good understanding of mechanical and electrical system coordination.TECHNICAL SKILLSMechanical MEP, Mechanical Design, STP, Wastewater, Plumbing, ROP/RO, Pumping Stations, Water Treatment, Piping Design, Hydraulic Calculations, Pump Selection, Mechanical Equipment Selection, P&ID, PFD, GA Drawings, Piping Isometrics, Equipment Datasheets, Technical Specifications, Shop Drawings, Material Submittals, AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, MS Office.MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS• 5+ years of relevant experience.• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.• Mechanical MEP or mechanical design experience.• Experience in STP, plumbing, ROP/RO, wastewater, pumping stations, or related water systems.• Hydraulic calculation experience.• P&ID/PFD experience.• Pump and mechanical equipment selection experience.• Piping design experience.• AutoCAD experience.• Microsoft Project experience.• Valid Qatar MMUP, UPDA, or MME engineering registration.PREFERRED• Qatar project experience.• STP and wastewater treatment experience.• Plumbing and pumping station experience.• ROP/RO or water treatment experience.• Experience coordinating mechanical and electrical systems.• Experience with consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
