Job Purpose
Provides comprehensive professional advice, support, and constructive input on all operations planning, assets performance, budget, and various business strategic aspects of gas assets on concession governance and operations management while setting innovative strategies by maximizing the resources to meet the needs of a continuously changing business environment by ensuring delivery of upstream mandates with maximum efficiency, optimum cost, with 100% compliance to HSE.
Key Accountabilities
Job Specific:
Evaluates, recommends, reviews, and advises on various asset business issues related to gas assets to ensure that the utilization of the resources is economically optimized in conformity with ADNOC’s guidelines and objectives.
Analyzes, reviews, evaluates, and provides comprehensive feedback to gas assets division management on assets performance, finance/budget, and various strategic aspects of gas assets by addressing ADNOC’s internal and external stakeholders’ requirements.
Provides regular updates to gas assets management on the respective assets performance and expenditure progress including various optimization initiatives.
Monitors gas assets for the delivery of gas production targets as per the set mandate.
Provides various asset business aspects advice and options/recommendations to gas assets management regarding operation, production, and ways to ensure progress in this field as per ADNOC mandate.
Reviews all gas assets operation, production work plans, and capital/operating budgets, asset leader evaluations, and submits appropriate recommendations in conformity with ADNOC's interests and guidelines.
Reviews, analyzes, coordinates, and provides comprehensive inputs on assets yearly business and financial plans.
Provides continuous support and advises in the governance of gas assets business activities by coordination with internal ADNOC functions and contributes on the way forward to respective end users.
Promotes safe, healthy, and environmentally friendly operations support activities of gas assets.
Maximizes ADNOC group assets value in different engineering aspects and assures the delivery of gas production adhering to the concession mandates, while ensuring that current and future production targets are met.
Monitors, and aligns/optimizes inter-OPCO’s shutdown plan considering other OPCO’s plan activities including downstream and other stakeholder’s alignment.
Manages, monitors, and advises gas assets on non-technical business subjects related to operation and production.
Monitors the implementation and compliance by all gas assets with ADNOC’s health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
Supports gas assets to achieve optimized operation activities through various business optimizations, sharing experience/lessons learned, and improving current practices.
Provides comprehensive feedback after review of gas assets various business activities in order to achieve upstream mandates.
Provides support to various legal agreements for the gas assets.
Identifies ways and means of continuously improving the business processes, guidelines, and standards.
Supports and mentors UAE junior staff for effective integration through the development program.

Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective business objectives.

Provide input for preparation of the function/division/department/section budgets, assist in the implementation of the approved budget and work plans to deliver business objectives.
Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control.

Implement approved function/division/department/section policies, processes, systems, standards, and procedures in order to support execution of the work programs in line with company and international standards.
Performance Management
Contribute to the achievement of the approved performance objectives for the function/division/department/section in line with the company performance framework.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.
Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with best industry standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.
Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability
Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures, controls, applicable legislation, and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices, and ADNOC Code of Practices.
Reports
Provide inputs to prepare function/division/department/section MIS and progress reports for company management.
Communication & Working Relationship
Internal:
Daily contacts with Vice President, Gas assets, and regular contacts with other Upstream Functions VPs/Managers/Team Leaders.
Regular contacts with the concerned staff in the gas assets up to VP/Manager/Team Leader level to discuss, follow-up, and review their operations activities.
Regular contact with industry shareholders, especially local representatives.
Regular contacts with planning and performance representatives’ counterparts of gas assets on key issues relating to assets.
Frequent contacts with legal, downstream industry, marketing & trading directorate for coordination and follow-up of matters related to the gas assets.
Regular contacts with peers in the upstream OPCOs to share ideas and good practices.
External:
Regular contact with contractors/consultants/suppliers representatives on matters related to gas services and with service companies.
Occasional contact with management of international gas companies, for exchange of information/benchmarking/study visits and training programs.
Occasional contact with representatives of respective international shareholders.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills
Minimum Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical/Petroleum Engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution.
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
12 years related experience in oil & gas operations, performance, and planning support activities.
Extensive experience in performance portfolio management of oil and gas operations.
Experience in process and mechanical systems and equipment used in oil and gas field installation.
Knowledge of project management systems, oil and gas industry technical standards.
Awareness of various surface operation, production, and engineering requirements and constraints.
Strong leadership; excellent communication; and presentation and management skills.
Understanding of commercial/contractual terms, HSE requirements, and various operations aspects.
Competency in English language; computer literate; and well versed in the relevant office applications and presentation tools.
